IAPD Student Council Election Results

Congratulations to all of the new officers and representatives for the IAPD Student Council for 2014-15! We had an incredible turnout of those willing to serve and this reflects well on the character and generosity of our students. The election results:

Loose Ends

The IAPD office is in need of some information from all students. We need every person's Insurance Card,Emergency Contact Information and  Photo Release form. Please click on each form, fill them out and return all three to the office by dropping them off or via email at iapd@ksu.edu. 

 

Wine and Cheese Fundraiser
 
IAPD will be doing a stadium clean up this Thursday after the K-State-Auburn game as a fundraiser for our annual Wine and Cheese event. We will meet at the stadium at 10 pm and clean for 1.5-2 hours and will each make $12 an hour.

Paper Presentations

Congratulations to Vibha Jani whose paper Opening Doors for Holistic Design Through Introduction of Academic Research Projects was selected to be presented for the International Conference on Education and Research (ICERI2014). This conference will be taking place in Madrid, Spain. 

Lunch and Learn

A local representative for Forbo Flooring Systems, a manufacturer of high-quality commercial and residential floor coverings for over 150 years, will be visiting K-State on Tuesday, October 7th from 11:30-12:30 for a Lunch and Learn. Lunch will be provided while Scott Reeder informs us of Forbo's flooring solutions. Come to check out some of their newest products to specify in our designs! IIDA and Huffington Post

In a piece titled, "Workplace Wellness: 7 Workplace Design Experts Weigh in on the Next Big Thing," five IIDA Members spoke about their expert opinions on the increased interest in workplace design, and the effect it has on our overall health and well-being. Click here to read the article! 

NSF Graduate Research Scholarship

The Fulbright Program for U.S. Students was established in 1946 to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United State and the people of other countries. They are offering a scholarship for this school year to graduate students.
