PANERA FUND RAISING NIGHT FOR OPEN HOUSE

Eat Bread To Raise Dough!  TONIGHT Panera will donate a percentage of its sales from 4-8 pm to IAPD when you bring in the flyer, either printed or on a mobile device.  Proceeds will go to help with Open House expenses.

OPEN HOUSE FUNDRAISER SHIRTS FOR SALE
Hello everyone! My name is Jamie Causey, a 3rd year in IAPD. As you may be aware Open House is soon approaching and we have a few awesome fundraisers going on! In the Interior Architecture & Product Design program we pride ourselves on creating amazing spaces and objects for the world to discover and experience. Every Open House is another chance for us to display to our community not only what our entire department has been arduously designing throughout the year but also what we, as third years, can create for a one-day exhibit. We're looking to fundraise in order to purchase the build and design supplies we need to make our ideas and designs come to life.
Please see the attached flyer to see the shirts you can purchase for only $15.
KUDOS
A multidisciplinary team from K-State which includes IAPD's Dave Richter-O'Connell is partnering with more than 30 other universities as part of the Advanced Functional Fabrics of America Institute's Fabric Innovation Network.  KSU and its partners will be working to identify technological revolutions in fibers and textiles so as to make a significant impact on national defense, human health and safety.  Read about it here.
Congratulations to Vibha for being invited to present at a workshop at the National Museum of World Cultures in the Netherlands on April 19-20.  The workshop is entitled:  Design Beyond the West:  Ethnographic Collections and the History of Global Design. Vibha was selected due to her "extensive research in this field, especially the groundbreaking publication Diversity in Design: Perspectives from the Non-Western World (2012)"!
