ANNOUNCEMENTS 

8:00 am - Monday - Aug 25 Design Days 2014 begins. All LA and RCP students should be in the K-State Union Big 12 Room ready to begin at 8 am. DD 2014 will focus on our work environment for the next year and will determine where your personal workspace is located. It is essential that you let me (srolley@ksu.edu) know if an unavoidable conflict prevents you from being with us at 8 am on the 25th.
The APDesign Student Organization Fair will take place from 5:30-7 pm on Monday, Aug 25 in Pierce Commons. The event will have free pizza and a chance to explore/sign up with student organizations.

Irrigation Getting Started Webinar will be presented by Jeremiah Farmer and Brian Frederick tomorrow, Friday, May 30 at 10 am PST. This webinar will cover the basics with the irrigation capabilities of Land F/X. Email krystal@landfx.com to RSVP before Friday. The webinar will be recorded and posted the following week here.
 
A new guide, Climate-Smart Conservation: Putting AdaptionPrinciples into Practicewas released by the National Wildlife Federation provides conservation practitioners and natural resource managers guidance on carrying out conservation in a changing climate.
 
Frederick Law Olmsted: Designing America will be broadcast on PBS June 20, 11:00 pm (as well as 6/21 1:00 and 4:00 am, 6/23 2:00 and 5:00 am. Bonus video is available here.

The Flint Hills MPO is seeking volunteers for the 1st annual Bike & Pedestrian Count on September 9th (Tues), 10th (Wed), and 13th (Sat).  Tuesday and Wednesday volunteers can join us after the count for Wheat State Pizza and Saturday volunteers will enjoy Call Hall ice cream.
