On December 6 in the Regnier Atrium, 5th Year students Beth Witsken and Kendra Lemon presented their designs on what a future high school might look like to JC Harmon High School students.
IAPD CAPSTONE STUDIO PRESENTS FINAL DESIGNS TO JC HARMON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
IAPD 5th Year Capstone Students presented their final designs to JC Harmon High School students, faculty and their peers on December 6 in the Regnier Forum and Atrium. The studio, taught by professors Vibha Jani and Katie Hoke, were done in collaboration with the Kansas City design group DLR and the Kansas City Public School District. Students were presented with the challenge of re-imagining the high schools of the future. For research throughout the semester, the studio has visited JC Harmon High School in Kansas City and worked with its students to learn more about the way high school students learn in the current educational environment. They have also helped engage the students in the world of design.
While on campus, the JC Harmon students learned more about the College of Architecture, Planning & Design and its three disciplines - Architecture, Interior Architecture & Product Design, and Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning.
MOGENS SMED PRESENTS TO COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE, PLANNING & DESIGN
