Interior Architecture & Product Design
An ever increasing amount of work in the Department of Interior Architecture & Product Design is being realized with the integration of digital technology in the design and fabrication process. The department provides supportive and integrated studios where students furnish their own computers and utilize the latest in software and hardware technology. All studios are connected via a high-speed, local network allowing for Internet access, email and data transfer between the students and the instructors. The College of Architecture, Planning & Design also has a dedicated 30-seat computer lab loaded with current, industry-standard software titles and utilities.
Additionally, students plot to the College's student-owned, student-run plot room. Laser cutters, CNC fabrication, 3D printers and other technologies are easily accessed by all students.
Students are required to purchase a computer beginning their third year of study. Here is a link with the updated system requirements for the 2015-2016 school year.
