DesignIntelligence 2020 Survey
As in the past, we are asking for your help in taking the annual DesignIntelligence surveys in one of three key groups: professionals with hiring/supervising responsibility, deans/department chairs, and students. The rankings will come from the hiring professionals survey results as they always have. Rankings will be reported for Undergraduate and Graduate Architecture Programs, Undergraduate and Graduate Landscape Architecture Programs, and Undergraduate and Graduate Interior Design Programs.
The results will be published to a website as the 2020 America’s Top Ranked Architecture & Design Schools where three sets of rankings will be reported:
- Most Admired Schools
- Most Hired From Schools
- Schools chosen as the strongest in each of twelve specialty focus areas
Each of the three groups surveyed will be asked questions that match their area of expertise.
- Professionals will be asked where they hire from and why. We also ask which schools are strongest in 12 specialty focus areas and for their opinions on changes in the world of professional practice
- Deans and academics will be asked to comment on the current and future state of design education
- Students will be asked how programs prepare them for practice and what their intentions are for applying their training after they graduate
Continuing the tradition of highlighting the most admired architecture and design educators, all groups will be asked to name the educator they most admire.
Additional results from all surveys will provide other perspectives that will be helpful to readers.
