Each year students in our program have access to over $50,000 in scholarships from the department, in addition to university scholarships. To apply for all scholarships current and future students fill out the university scholarship application

In addition to scholarships, graduate teaching assistantships are available to students once they enter the graduate program. Graduate teaching assistants, GTA’s, assist faculty members by teaching or teaching-related responsibilities. Assistantships are an arrangement in which financial support is given to a graduate student who engages in teaching and/or research in furtherance of the university’s academic mission, as well as his or her graduate education. Students on assistantships receive a $3,750 stipend and 10 credit hour tuition waiver per semester

Our students study abroad at Orvieto, Italy, University of Western Australia and the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, as well as at universities of your choice around the world. In addition, faculty lead shorter international study tours.

Domestic students, Feb. 1 (Priority deadline to be considered for Year 1 funding, scholarships, and assistantships. Applications received after this date will continue to be reviewed by the admissions committee. All applicants will be eligible for funding opportunities in Years 2 and 3.)
