Lauren is the Studio Director for Fletcher Studio, a boutique design-focused office in San Francisco. She graduated in 2013 with a Master in Landscape Architecture from KSU. In her role she leads project design conceptualization, and directs day-to-day team operations, staffing and workflows. Lauren started advocating for meaningful community engagement processes during her education at K-State, and continues to seek purposeful collaboration through the studio’s pro-bono HOPE+SPACE program. She recently served as co-chair for the Annual ASLA 2022 Legacy Project, which encouraged high school students to pursue careers in landscape architecture through the design of a downtown slow street.

Lauren received her Masters of Regional and Community Planning from K-State in 2014. Lauren has eight years of experience as an urban planner in both the public and private sector. She is experienced in comprehensive planning, data collection and analysis, visioning and community engagement. She is experienced in the development of creative community engagement events, as well as reaching and engaging seldom-heard populations. She is multitalented as a diversity equity and inclusion specialist, graphic recorder, and skilled community engagement practitioner.

Derek, KSU MLA 2013 Graduate, is a landscape architect and urban designer with a decade of professional experience and life-long exposure to the profession being a second-generation L.A. Before starting MCLV, Derek worked at SWABalsley, GGN, and OLIN. The KSU LARCP Department has been integral to Derek's life from childhood, which has led him to continually find ways to stay connected to the program and its students.

Stephanie provides direct supervision for all activities in the Planning Division of the Community Development Department, including supporting a team of five full-time employees and one intern. • Oversees development review process for current planning, long-range planning, and special projects. Interacts with design professionals, property owners, and members of the public. • Presents projects to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and City Council. • Tracks projects and reports progress to various audiences.

Ashley is a Project Leader at site, with experience as a team leader and construction manager at multiple international design firms. She is a Licensed Landscape Architect in Florida and New York. Over her eight years of professional experience, Ashley has worked on local and international projects at various scales from early conceptual design through construction administration; bridging design to documentation and implementation.

Ben graduated from K-State in 2007 with a BLA. For the first decade of his career he worked with a few large landscape architecture firms, and later founded his own company, Habitat Landscape Consulting, which focuses on landscape in the hospitality and residential sectors. Along the way, he went back to school for a Master's in Architectural Management from a business school to further develop his knowledge of the business side of the profession. He has served on the LARCP PAB since 2017 and looks forward to being a part of this great program.

Deanne received her Masters of Regional and Community Planning from K-State in 2014 and has ten years of experience in public and private sector planning. She is a senior planner, project manager, and Planning Team Leader at TranSystems where she specializes in transportation master plans, corridor plans, and feasibility studies. Her interdisciplinary approach to planning issues helps create a bridge between communities and the technical spheres of engineering, planning, and urban design. Deanne has also been actively involved in leadership positions within the American Planning Association - Kansas City section and the Kanas City Center for Architecture & Design. She enjoys educational outreach activities to help high school and college students explore potential STEAM careers.

Olivia is a Senior Associate at Coleman & Associates in Austin, Texas. She received her Masters in Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University. Olivia has a broad experience in the field of landscape architecture and has recently worked in both private and public development. Her passion for design is cultivated by being given the opportunity to take risks boldly, imaginatively responding to complex problems, and serving other positively through landscape design.

Kayla Savage is Director of the Community Development Division at the Kansas Department of Commerce. She provides direction for the following Community Development programs: Kansas Main Street, Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission, Rural Opportunity Zones, Kansas Angels, Community Service Tax Credits and Community Development Block Grants. She represents Commerce on the Kansas Water Authority and Kansas State Fair Board.

Before coming to Commerce, Kayla spent 14 years in nonprofit management and community development. She earned her BFA in Communications-Public Relations from Emporia State University and Master of Science in Community Development from Kansas State University.
