LARCP Professional Advisory Board

The LARCP Professional Advisory Board (PAB) is an organization of leaders in our professional fields, representing alumni and supporters. Primarily, this board serves as a forum for interaction between the alumni and our programs, providing a system of support for the Department Head, faculty, and students.

2026 PAB Goals

This year, the Professional Advisory Board is focused on strengthening the connections between students, alumni, and the profession. The PAB will deepen its engagement with student organizations such as SCASLA, NAMLA, SPA, SACRED, and CDSC, ensuring rising professionals have strong mentorship and networking opportunities throughout the year.

The Board is also wrapping up the development of its Alumni Survey, with the goal of collecting responses that help shape future programming. The PAB hopes to present a summary of current professional trends at the Fall 2026 meeting to keep curriculum and career guidance aligned with industry needs. Behind the scenes, the PAB is reviewing the LARCP program's strategic plans and updating its own by-laws to ensure strong, forward-looking governance.

Finally, the Board will continue its longstanding tradition of supporting faculty through annual contributions, awarding grants to further the professional development of the program's faculty and keep them at the forefront of teaching, research, and practice in landscape architecture and community planning.

Together, these efforts reflect the PAB's ongoing commitment to advancing K-State's Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning programs and the students who carry that legacy forward.
