Entry Level Architect/Architectural Designer/Intern | Tevis Architects

About Us:

Tevis Architects is a small to midsized, team-oriented design firm with offices in both Lenexa, and Topeka, Kansas.  Our Topeka location, formerly Ekdahl Davis Depew Persson Architects, was started in 1946.  For all you Wildcats, ever heard of Ekdahl Hall, or the Ekdahl Lecture series? Oscar Ekdahl was one of our Topeka location’s original founders.

Today, we remain a general practice firm, so we do a lot of everything.  We design offices, schools, animal shelters, churches, restaurants, factories, and houses.  We enjoy the variety, and strive to bring the same creativity to everything we design.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking creative, design-oriented individuals who enjoy working as part of team.  But, you must have the ability and desire to work independently too. We are a company that nurtures self-starters, and encourage the ability to think outside the box.  Team members must, of course, have experience with Revit, AutoCad, SketchUp, and Adobe.  But, we are also seeking individuals who have the ability to think with a pen or pencil in your hand, and be comfortable talking with a client.  The tasks you will perform in a given day will be as varied as the projects we work on, from schematic design to construction administration activities.  So, we expect our team members to be versatile.

Positions available:

We are presently seeking both Entry Level Architect (0-3 years) and Architectural Designer (3-5 years) candidates.  We offer a competitive salary commensurate with your experience and skill level and a comprehensive benefit package including vacation and insurance.

We are also open to summer internships for those not yet done with your academic program.

If we sound like a place you would enjoy working, please send a letter of interest, resume, and work samples to Lonnie Shanks @ lshanks@tevisarchitects.com, or call him at (913)-599-3003.

We look forward to hearing from you!
