Creating outdoor spaces for people that maximize green space and minimize stormwater runoff is an emphasis of my work as a licensed landscape architect. During my 29 years of practical experience, I have been involved with building and site construction projects from start to finish. My continuing education of current best management practices in stormwater management led me to apply for and be awarded a $583,000 grant, on behalf of Kansas State University, to implement multiple innovative green infrastructure technologies on a campus building and recreation site.

I received my Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University. I am a licensed landscape architect in Kansas, the first Accredited Green Roof Professional in Kansas, and a Certified Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Practitioner. My practical experience includes work in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas with emphasis on site design, landscape design, irrigation design, playground design, green technologies, construction administration, and grant administration.

I joined the Landscape Architecture/Regional & Community Planning Department in 2011. My current work includes grant administration, construction project management, and stormwater management research. As a recent health initiative grant award co-recipient, I am managing construction of a trail signage system at a local park. Also, I am providing construction management services for KSU stormwater management projects on and off campus.
