Catherine Caffera joined the College of Architecture, Planning & Design in early August 2023 as an Academic Advisor. She provides academic advising to undergraduate and graduate students, monitors student progress, and assists with academic activities, policies and decisions. Catherine serves as the liaison to the Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning.

Prior to joining APDesign, Catherine worked as an editor and point of contact for multiple nationwide peer-reviewed social sciences journals and taught in early childhood education before returning to K-State as an Academic Advisor and the Athletic Certifying Officer for the College of Arts and Sciences.

Catherine is a Manhattan transplant and a K-State alumnus. She graduated suma cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science, German, and Mass Communications (Public Relations), a Secondary Major in International Studies, and completion of the University Honors Program. Catherine returned to K-State as a graduate teaching and research assistant and completed her Master’s in Political Science.
