Associate Professor R. Todd Gabbard received his Master’s of Architecture degree from University of Florida. Gabbard serves as the Graduate Program Director and Associate Head for the department of architecture at Kansas State University. Gabbard teaches the Environmental Systems in Architecture course series and graduate level architectural design studio courses. He specializes in rural architectural development in the state and has received numerous awards for his work, including the K-State Excellence in Engagement Award for his Small Town Studio collaboration with the city of Eureka, KS. His Small Town Studio has provided services to the Kansas communities of Blue Rapids, Colby, Cuba, Jamestown, Pittsburg and Eureka, which has been the most prominent partnership.
