Courtney Markle joined the College of Architecture, Planning and Design in June 2022.

As Project Coordinator, she assists the Associate Dean with scholarship processing, course scheduling, and special projects. Courtney also assists the Director of International Programs with education abroad efforts.

Prior to this she served as a Research Technician/Project Coordinator for the Institute for Environmental Research in the College of Engineering (2021-2022) and previously as Bakery Manager for KSU’s first retail restaurant, JP’s Sports Grill (2010-2017).

Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Policy and Management with a focus in Agroecology from the University of California, Berkeley. She originally came to Kansas as an intern at The Land Institute in Salina, KS. Since then, her passion for systems thinking, ecology, eating local, baking and athletics have allowed her to venture into a variety of fields including research, urban gardening, pastry, outdoor adventure and soccer coaching.
