S. JAY SIEBENMORGEN, AIA, LEED AP­

Jay Siebenmorgen is an award-winning architect with a portfolio of distinguished projects of diverse program and scale that seek to master a balance between the technical and poetic realm of architecture. He is adept at pushing the boundaries of programmatic relationships and constraints to yield new value and maximize the potential of a client’s enterprise. His design process focuses on the influences of regional culture and context to create a contemporary, timeless response of high-performance value for clients.

His design work has been recognized with many domestic and international design awards. He was the recipient of the Ten Year Alumni Honorary Award in Architecture from Kansas State University, an Honor Award for Design Excellence from Columbia University, and most recently the 2015-2016 Victor L. Regnier Distinguished Visiting Chair of Architecture from Kansas State University. He is a Visiting Professor at Kansas State University where he teaches a fifth year graduate studio, and continues to collaborate with NBBJ as a consulting Design Principal.

Jay has taught at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and served as guest critic for many prestigious design programs including Princeton University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design and the University of California Los Angeles.

Jay received his Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University (1992) and Master of Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (2003).
