Karina Taufi

Karina Taufi is a recruitment and admissions professional currently serving as the Director of Student Recruitment & Academic Services at Kansas State University’s College of Architecture, Planning & Design (APDesign). She joined APDesign on September 3, 2019, bringing extensive experience in recruitment and enrollment management, particularly in working with diverse groups of students and professionals.

Taufi earned her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership & Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Before joining K-State, Taufi was the Manager of Admissions at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she developed a strong track record of success in student recruitment and retention. At APDesign, she leads efforts to attract future professionals in design and planning fields, with a focus on expanding diversity through strategic recruitment initiatives.

Taufi’s work at K-State is integral to the college’s goals of fostering an inclusive learning environment and preparing the next generation of design professionals.
