Fourth and fifth year students are encouraged to participate in the 2013 Mock Interviews that will be held on October 21 in the K-State Alumni Center, 8:00a.m. – 7:00p.m. There are several events leading up to the actual Mock Interview, those are:
Oct. 9 Portfolio Presentation by Katie-Kingery-Page; Pierce Commons, 5:30p.m.
Oct. 9 & Oct. 14 Walk-In Critiques at 11:30a.m. – 1pm at the top of the Pierce Atrium

We Welcome Jermain Glasper to APDesign Staff!
The College of Architecture, Planning & Design welcomes Jermain Glasper to the staff. Jermain comes to us from southwest Virginia with a strong technical background. He will be working with Don Crawford, Information Systems Manager in 012 Seaton. Jermain is moving here with his wife Sheila and two year old son Tremaine. On display: Exhibit features work by APDesign students from their internships
MANHATTAN -- The work of College of Architecture, Planning & Design students at Kansas State University who participated in internships during the 2012-2013 school year is now on display in the Chang Gallery in Seaton Hall's east wing.
The exhibit, which runs through Oct. 25, is free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays
All curriculum areas of the college, also known as APDesign, are represented in the exhibit: architecture, interior architecture & product design, landscape architecture, and regional & community planning.
Architecture students intern from January – August and IAPD and LA|RCP students typically are during the spring and summer semesters. All internships are with professional firms and governmental agencies around the world. Internships are encouraged in the college as a way of getting students to experience new places and let them use what they have learned academically in a professional setting, according to Wendy Ornelas, associate dean of the college and director of the department of architecture’s academic internship program.
"This exhibit exposes students in the college and across campus, as well as the general public, to the varied types of works done by firms in the design professions," Ornelas said. "It can help students see how and where they can explore and experience learning in a professional setting and enhance their understanding of the design professions."
