News and Events

Imagery from Matt Spaniol's Poster presentation for the first annual APDesign Research Symposium is shown in the header above. Matt presented the research which forms a basis for programnimg of his thesis project next semester. Several IAPD students participated in the event Saturday. Linda Sorrento, National Academy of Environmental Design a special guest for the Symposium, delivered the keynote presentation.

As we approach upcoming breaks in the semester, I urge you to be vigilant about reporting any strangers wandering (especially into studios) Seaton and Seaton Court and about keeping studio doors locked when nobody is present.

Current Projects

IAPD Alumni Kayla Sorensen (2012) and Scott Schmidt, both Industrial Designers with HON, partnered in the Mobile Worker/ Mobile Office project with IAPD 3rd year students (Dave Richter-O'Connell's studio). The final review occurred on Friday and the full-scale prototypes are still set up in two locations: Seaton Court 106D (outside the Laser Room) and Seaton Court 114C - I encourage you to check out these well-conceived and crafted office environments!
