LAST CHANCE - FURNITURE PICKUP |
Students: If you have not picked up your furniture from last year - this is your LAST CHANCE!! Pick it up by tomorrow from 203 A+B Seaton Hall. No exceptions. |
A huge thank you to the Hi Tech Interiors company, who are allowing us use of one of their buildings for our Workshop II, Furniture Design Workshop, and Digital Furniture classes for the next 2 months. Click here to see a map and other pertinent information regarding your use of this facility. |
The design has been narrowed down and the materials are here! Color + Couture will be meeting Tuesday (10/5) at 8:00 pm at APD West to go over production. Anyone who wants to participate in production is encouraged to come. |
3RD YEAR STARTING THEIR MOBILE ENVIRONMENT PROJECT |
3rd year students begin their 'near environment'/ mobile environment project this week to transform an El Dorado National executive coach into a mobile work and relaxation center. 4 groups will create individual and group work relaxation zones within the interior for the next 5 weeks. Expectations and energy levels are high! Watch our progress in the east lot at APD West. |
NAVIGATING SOCIAL MEDIA & EMAIL DISTRACTIONS AND STILL BEING PRODUCTIVE |
In the few minutes it takes to read this, chances are you'll pause to check your phone, answer a text, read an email, or glance at the Facebook, Instagram or Twitter messages popping up on your screen. Has social media made us less productive in the working world? The Wall Street Journal wrote an article about this very problem. It's a fascinating read. |
GLASS STUDIO HAS MOVED TO APD WEST |
The glass studio has moved out of Seaton and into APD West. They will be sharing the space used by the Transportation Studio and having class in the space to the east of the fifth year studio. Now that class is being held in that area you will need to make sure and pick up any materials from charrettes, lunch gatherings, meetings or newspaper reading sessions. We are using every inch of APD West so be respectful and pick up all materials and put them away. |
