IIDA ELECTIONS
Elections for 2015-16 IIDA leadership were held on October 8.  Chelsea Flickinger, fourth year, was elected as President Elect and Chelsea Bainbridge, third year, was elected as Communications Manager.
WORKSHOP SPACE
A huge thank you to the Hi Tech Interiors company, who are allowing us use of one of their buildings for our Workshop II, Furniture Design Workshop, and Digital Furniture classes for the next 2 months. Click here to see a map and other pertinent information regarding your use of this facility.
3RD YEAR STARTING THEIR MOBILE ENVIRONMENT PROJECT
3rd year students begin their 'near environment'/ mobile environment project this week to transform an El Dorado National executive coach into a mobile work and relaxation center.  4 groups will create individual and group work relaxation zones within the interior for the next 5 weeks. Expectations and energy levels are high! Watch our progress in the east lot at APD West or follow our blog on the IAPD website.
  
2ND YEAR CONTINUES TO WORK ON TINY HOUSE PROJECT
The 2nd year studios have finished week 4 of their 6 week tiny home on wheels project.  They drew full scale floor plans in chalk outside at APD West so the students could visualize the actual space. It allowed them to see if they were being realistic about how much space they were dedicating to certain zones of the home. This is a very exciting time because they are finally starting to see their final concepts come through.
 
K-STATE LAUNCHES ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETITION
K-State Center for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship invites all K-State students with an entrepreneurial idea to compete for a prize pool of $20,000 in the 2015 K-State Launch competition.  This is an exciting opportunity.  Read all about how to enter.
