PIZZA OUT WEST

Mark your calendars for "Pizza Out West" on Thursday, December 3rd beginning at 9:30 pm. This will be hosted by Weigel Library. There will be pizza and treats in rooms 116 and 119 at APD West for all students. Please, don't forget to thank Maxine! Let her know how much you appreciate all she does.

IAPD STUDENT COUNCIL COOKIE DECORATING PARTY

IAPD Student Council will be having a student council meeting at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 1st. It will be followed by a cookie decorating party at 8:00 pm. Come take a break at the IAPD Student Council Christmas Cookie Decorating Party at 8:00 pm on Tuesday December 1st. All IAPD students are encouraged to attend and compete. Faculty will vote on the best holiday cookie and the winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind prize!

IDSA MEETING FOR ANYONE INTERESTED

There will be an extra IDSA Meeting this Thursday, December 3rd at 6 pm at APD West. This meeting is for all interested students. You do not have to have paid to be in IDSA. We will be having a call with Jeff Weber and John Blohmstrom from StudioWeber in Minneapolis (former Bill Stumpf studios) (designers of the Caper and Embody chairs for Herman Miller).

IAPD STUDENT COUNCIL HOSTING PENNY WAR COMPETITION

Interior Architecture and Product Design Student Council is hosting apenny war competition between all the disciplines in the college of architecture. Starting November 30 running through December 11, students are encouraged to bring in pennies for the Ogden Friendship House of Hope. Any pennies will count as positive points towards their department, while other coins and bills will count as negative points. Money can be placed in the jars sitting at the front desk of APD West.

IIDA STUDENT MENTORING PROGRAM

The IIDA Student Mentoring Program is one of the most dynamic student/mentor programs in the Interior Design industry. IIDA pairs students and mentors, taking students out of the classroom and placing them into the real world of Interior Design. Interested in participating?Registration is now open. APPLY FOR EDRA GRADUATE STUDENT WORKSHOP

The Graduate Student Workshop is an initiative of the Environmental Design Research Association designed to provide a forum for graduate students to present and discuss their ongoing research with senior mentors in environment-behavior design research. Deadline to apply is Jan. 8, 2016. Learn more here.

2016 ZINC CHALLENGE

Interzinc is hosting a competition to design a suitable product or tool that takes advantage of the properties of zinc die casting for use in the environment. All information for this competition can be found on theirwebsite. The Deadline is March 1st.

IIDA STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION

This competition celebrates original design and rewards individuals or teams whose projects demonstrate innovative, functional design solutions that have a positive environmental and human impact, while allowing the opportunity to showcase work and fresh design ideas to professionals in the field.
