The frame is crafted from Louisiana-sourced cypress, connecting directly to my family heritage. It’s a material that speaks to strength, beauty, and a deep-rooted sense of place—especially in the coastal environments where cypress thrives. The hand-woven blue leather, done in a two-strand braid, brings a modern contrast that still feels personal. The blue is a nod to my family’s traditional color, tying the piece back to my roots in a subtle but meaningful way.
