The design for this table is a sculptural rendition of the shape and fluid movement of a foilboard. In order to achieve this look, the wooden top was glued carefully to feature a light stripe of wood down the middle of the board. It was then carved with a CNC machine and carefully smoothed to give the sleek look resembling a surfboard. Underneath the top piece features a finger groove that allows the user to shift and move the table around. For the base, three ½ inch rods were bent and stitch welded together to create a more fluid, light base to mimic the movement of the waves as they are being cut by the fins of the board. The base was painted black to contrast the lighter colored top as well as provide a sleek finished look.
