INDD Industrial Design student work

Industrial Design

Acquire the knowledge and skills to create innovative products that will shape the future.

Great design doesn’t just look good—it’s about shaping how people live, work, and interact. In our Industrial Design program, students learn how to turn big ideas into real-world products that are innovative, sustainable, and meaningful. With an interdisciplinary approach combining industrial design, furniture design, and entrepreneurial thinking, we prepare students to shape industries and experiences.

Why
Industrial Design?
I love bringing ideas to life. Industrial design has been the perfect middle ground between engineering, psychology, and art for me. I enjoy the fact that I can sketch an idea, then develop it into a real-life product.

The studio culture at K-State's Industrial Design program has been incredible. Over time, I’ve grown close with my studio mates as we’ve navigated college together. We’ve developed our design philosophies, sharpened our skills, and matured as individuals. The memories I have here are ones I’ll hold on to for a long time.
