Dr. Migette L. Kaup, professor of interior design at Kansas State University, is an accomplished researcher and professional in the fields of gerontology and universal design.
Dr. Kaup has 20 years of professional experience in long-term care facility design. Her research has been published numerous times in both books and journals, and most notably focuses on the well-being of residents and employees in long-term care facilities.
Dr. Kaup’s research has changed the way long-term care facilities are designed. The outcomes of her research have created better environments for residents and their care-givers.
Dr. Kaup’s research has been recognized for excellence and is continuously funded. Students Dr. Kaup mentors frequently win competitions and awards, having recently been given fellow designation by the Gerontological Society of America. As a dedicated professor and gerontologist, Dr. Kaup inspires students to design for diverse needs and populations.
