Richard Thompson is an instructor in Interior Architecture and Industrial Design at the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design at K-State. He graduated with his Master's in Interior Architecture and Product Design in 2015 and then took over as the head of the college's Fabrication Lab. He joined the faculty as a full-time instructor in 2020.
Richard's expertise is primarily in furniture design; he also leads foundational design studios in interior architecture and industrial design. His leadership and teaching in community-engaged projects have created synergies across campus, the city of Manhattan, and the region.
