Assessment plan for the Ph.D. in Environmental Design & Planning

The Ph.D. in Environmental Design & Planning is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide students with advanced preparation in and understanding of issues related to the human habitation of the built and natural environment. It draws faculty members from the Department of Architecture, The Department of Landscape Architecture & Regional and Community Planning, and the Department of Interior Architecture & Product Design in the College of Architecture Planning & Design (APDesign), as well as from other colleges across campus. Students focus on one of four areas of emphasis: Design, Planning, Sustainability, and Place Making. They are also exposed to issues outside of their area of emphasis.
