Chaperone is a pair of safety products designed for small dogs while traveling in the car. This project was inspired by my own personal experience with my small pet and the lack of products on the market to provide a safety tested solution. The goal of Chaperone is to increase the safety for the pet but also for the driver by reducing distractions. The set includes a safety harness and car seat, fitted with industrial grade seat belt equipment and reduced weak points to increase durability. The car seat utilizes the existing seat belt to lock into place, and features an additional locking belt to latch into the custom housing attached to the harness to provide extra security.
