Located in the up-and-coming innovation center of Boston, the Seaport District, NEXT Robotics is a Research and Development Hub centered on innovative, sleek, and eco-friendly robotic designs. The design of NEXT finds roots in the backbone of the city, where people of all backgrounds come together: public transportation. The MBTA, Boston’s transit system, acts as a physical representation of the city’s diverse population, serving as the foundational identity for the movement of ideas, spaces, and people. Founded on the ideology that the diverse backgrounds and stories of the commuters that utilize public transportation create opportunities for new perspectives and insights, NEXT aspires to foster an environment to support collaborative moments for these stories to be shared, simply as the result of conversations we have with one another. By having roots in the diverse culture of Boston, NEXT embraces a humanity centered, connection based hybrid design model to induce, learn + evolve.
