Odyssey: a long wandering or voyage usually marked by many changes of fortune.
Odyssey seamlessly integrates with the experience of studying abroad. It conveys the concept of an educational voyage involving immersive learning experiences in a foreign country. Drawing inspiration from the topography and geographical diversity of South Korea, “Odyssey Abroad” abstracts and implements the mountainous landscape into the design. South Korea’s extensive mountain ranges serve as both physical and symbolic muses. Students embarking on a study abroad program will find a metaphorical connection to the landscape of South Korea, fostering a deep sense of place and a harmonious blend of cultures. Students can connect with the host country and enrich their educational odyssey abroad.
Our kiosk is a testament to the fusion of two powerful influences: the design principles championed by Daniel Libeskind, characterized by sharp angles and intricate shape manipulation, and the profound symbolism of Korean mountain landscapes. In our design, the essence of these influences comes to life as nearly every single surface within the kiosk takes on the form of a triangle.
