Split was intended to be assembled and deconstructed in under a minute. No tools are needed and no glue was used to assemble the table. The only fastener is the clasp that wraps the vertical leg elements. The name comes from the form of the four vertical leg elements splitting off and creating the spread of the bottom leg sections.
