With the task of creating a reconfigurable holder system, Synthesis is a plant pot that accommodates different sizes of plants by increasing in volume. Through an exploration of geometry reconfigurations and thinking-in-section, the planter is designed to adjust initially to a chosen plant and readjust with time when plants must be repotted to larger sizes or be replaced by other plants. The Synthesis Plant Pot allows the user to choose their desired planting experience by reconfiguring the pot into three sizes: six small succulent or herb planters, two medium-sized houseplant pots, and one large pot for fully grown houseplants and indoor trees. The planter offers a personally customizable experience that can adapt to the nature of plants as well as any indoor environment at the user’s preference.
