Message from the Department Head
Dear Faculty_
As I am sure you noticed, there was not an Archinfo on Friday. We have decided to start putting it out on Monday from now on. This should keep it from getting lost in your Friday email and also be timelier in announcing items coming up during the week.
We do have some very exciting news to start off the week. I am pleased to announce that David Seamon and Gary Coates have received the Professorial Performance Award. Congratulations!
The 3D puzzle of teaching assignments is almost complete. I will be sending each of you an email of your assignments in the next few days and the final full lineup shortly.
This one has slipped a little, but we need to get the King Medal process finalized. We need to submit a final candidate from our department on May 5th. If you have a student interested in submitting we will need those prior to May 2nd. I will form a small committee of faculty to determine which candidate is sent to the college for consideration. The committee will meet on May 2nd. Faculty with an MARCH or MS student, who is going to submit, please let us know as soon as possible. There are several exciting endeavors worthy of the award so let's put our best forward.
Please enjoy the week.
Matthew Knox AIA
Professor and Head

Update from Weigel Library_
As a trial service beginning immediately and throughout the summer, Weigel Library patrons can now request to have their interlibrary loans delivered to Weigel.
To take advantage of this new delivery service, however, thepatron must reply to the ILL loan email notification requesting delivery to Weigel. Please do not request Weigel delivery with a note on the initial ILL request.
The interlibrary loan will be sent through campus mail, which could add a day or two to the pick-up time. Weigel staff will send the patron an email when the material has arrived in Weigel. Interlibrary loan materials can also be returned to Weigel.
We hope this change enhances the experience of faculty and students when using the resources of K-State Libraries.
With two weeks left before final reviews and three weeks left before finals, please remember to sign up for TEVALs with Stephanie in the department office.
It was announced that architecture student Melissa Gaddis was chosen by the Alumni Association to serve on the university’s 2014 Student Homecoming Committee.
