Message from the Department Head
Welcome to June. Hopefully everyone is getting into the summer groove and enjoying the much quieter Manhattan. Some good news is that fall enrollment in first year is up and they will be running ten sections. Marcia Bascom has agreed to teach two sections again this fall so we are all set. The summer ADS 5 studio is off and running as well as the new Bridge studio, so Seaton is once again active.
A couple of external things. The public comment period for the 2014 NAAB Conditions for Accreditation has only 21 days left. See this link for more information. On another front, NCARB has decided licensure upon graduation is a good idea (http://www.architectmagazine.com/licensing-and-certification/ncarb-endorses-licensure-upon-graduation_o.aspx). Good idea or bad idea? This will be interesting.
