ANNOUNCEMENTS

Prairie Studies Initiative kick-off events will take place March 11-12. Events will be held both days from 6-8 pm in the UMB Theater at the Beach Museum of Art. Click here for more information. Our department is a partner in the Prairie Studies initiative.

The CELA committee is calling for images of the tallgrass prairie to help inspire or be used by the designer in creating collateral for CELA 2015. If you have images you would like to submit contact Courtney by Wednesday.

OUR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Design Days 2013 was presented to the City of Manhattan Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on February 3.

OF INTEREST

The City of Manhattan in collaboration with Pottawatomie and Riley counties, launched a new website to provide up-to-date news and information about the Manhattan Area 2035 project. Click here for more information.

Design Workshop's design journal,Architectural Worlds, based at Shenzen University in China, features a series of articles on practice-based research and landscape performance measurement.

Three great speakers are coming to our region. Faculty and students are invited to attend and participate in the Finding Center Conference on April 11 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. You can find more informationhere. The Call for Abstracts is here. Abstracts are due Feb 21.

The K-State Center for Sustainable Energy announced its 2014 Energy Symposium. "The Future of Transportation: Policy, Production and Sustainability," will be held April 9-10 in Fiedler Hall. Click here for more information.
