A big thank you to Huston Gibson, Casey Gorrell, Larry Lawhon, Lee Skabelund, Jessica Weber and all of the SCASLA and SPA members for their fantastic leadership during Open House! They did a great job of showing the best of LARCP.
Design Expo is taking place today Monday, April 7 from 10 am-3 pm at the K-State Alumni Center. Click here for a list of all participating firms and the representatives we anticipate will be here. Our alumni especially appreciate the opportunity to meet those of you who started teaching after they graduated.
APDesign Fellow Ray Willis, MRCP '71, will speak in Seaton 106c next Thursday, April 17, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Please plan to attend and encourage your students to attend.

K-State landscape architecture was featured in the Sunday edition of two newspapers on April 6:
Assistant Professor Jessica Canfield's entry in the International Garden Festival was the focus of a full page article in The Manhattan Mercury.
LAR 442 students with Professors Belanger and Nawre are in theSt. Joseph News-Press. They are also interviewed in a news storyon Fox 26 KNPN
Megan Cantu, first year student in the College of APDesign, will present her undergraduate research project assisting Professor Katie Kingery-Page (LARCP) and the K-State Autism Research Team on April 13 at the 14th Annual Research Poster Symposium. The Developing Scholars Program will be held at the Student Union Ballroom from 1:30-3:30 pm.
Associate Professor Lee Skabelund and Assistant Professor Brent Chamberlain attended the Global Food Systems initiative event hosted by President Schulz on March 31.
Assistant Professor Katie Kingery-Page is speaking at the Center for Engagement and Community Development Symposium, Engagement: At the Center of Higher Education today. The event will take place in the K-State Union Flint Hills Room, 9 am - noon. Katie Kingery-Page speaks at 10:45 am. Stephanie Rolley is a session moderator. Click here for the full agenda.
Professor Tim Keane and Assistant Professor Brent Chamberlain are traveling to Washington DC to meet with NSF and other agencies as part of a K-State Delegation this week.

Kerb Journal is having a call for submissions for its 22nd edition which will explore the thematic of 'Remoteness'. Kerb is seeking submissions documenting design projects and processes in the form of research, essays, sketches and diagrams, collage, prose, photography, film and digital animation, grassroots projects, folk and contemporary art and everything in between.
