If you are providing the opportunity for students to earn extra credit/class credit for attending the Design Days exhibit on Wednesday, Aug. 28, or Thursday, Aug. 29 from 5-9 p.m., please notify Courtney Boman and communicate with your students.

OUR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Department Head Stephanie Rolley and Assistant Professor Huston Gibson, along with RCP students Kathryn Rush and James Wood will participate in a Land Transportation Workshop, hosted by President Schulz and the Knowledge Based Economic Development team, Thursday, Aug. 29.  

Assistant Professor Huston Gibson co-wrote two research articles published over the summer in peer-reviewed journals:
Smart Growth and the Challenge of NIMBY: Multifamily Dwellings and Their Association with Single-Family House Selling Prices in Tallahassee, Florida
 

Opportunities for the United States condominium foreclosure market to provide amenable affordable housing options: The case of Tampa/Hillsborough, Florida


Dr. Tim Keane will present a workshop, "Research in Political Fragmentation and Water Resource Management", from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in the K-State Student Union's Little Theatre. The workshop will feature a round-table discussion on the political fragmentation of urban watersheds and its effects on water resource management. Tim will be joined by Dr. Phil Barnes, KSU associate professor of biological and agricultural engineering and Dr. Jae Hong Kim, the University of California, Irvine.
