Grant Alford is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and an NCARB-certified Architect registered in Texas. He has worked at award-winning firms in New York, New Jersey and Texas, and his independent work has been recognized nationally. Previous teaching appointments include four-and-a-half years at Rice University and one year at Texas Tech University, during which time he taught undergraduate studios at every level.

Grant’s research interests include epistemology and rhetoric in architectural form, and the interdisciplinary and cultural contexts of digital technologies in architectural design. Geometry, projected drawing and diagramming also figure largely in his work and teaching.

He graduated with honors from Texas Tech University in 2005 and earned his professional Masters of Architecture degree from Princeton University in 2008.
