The Master of Interior Architecture is a five-year professional graduate degree, and the program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The program is further accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Depending upon the regulations in each state, this combination of accredited degree coupled with practical experience in the field prepare students to take the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam as well as other professional examinations (for instance, to become LEED certified) and are eligible for certification or licensure in states currently registering interior architects and designers.

The interior design program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, www.accredit-id.org, 206 Grandville Avenue, Suite 350, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503.

The CIDA-accredited program prepares students for entry-level interior design practice, for advanced study, and to apply for membership in professional interior design organizations. The Bachelor of Science in Interior Design granted by Kansas State University meets the educational requirement for eligibility to sit for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Examination (NCIDQ Exam). The Kansas State University interior design program is also accredited by National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

The Master of Landscape Architecture degree is accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB).

The LAAB is the accrediting organization for landscape architectural programs. As such, the LAAB develops standards to objectively evaluate landscape architectural programs and judges whether a school’s landscape architectural program is in compliance with the accreditation standards.

The LAAB is comprised of landscape architecture practitioners and academicians, representatives from landscape architecture collateral organizations and public representatives. The collateral organizations are the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) and Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA).

Completion of a landscape architecture degree from an accredited program is the most common requirement for professional licensure. The CLARB website provides information on specific licensure requirements.

The Master of Regional & Community Planning degree is accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB).

The Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) accredits university programs in North America leading to bachelor’s and master’s degrees in planning. PAB standards are developed with input from the public and our sponsoring organizations: the American Planning Association (APA); APA’s American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP); and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP).

Completion of a planning degree from an accredited program is the most common requirement for professional certification. The AICP website provides information on specific certification requirements.
